The horizontal stabilizer seems HUGE. We started working on its frame Friday after work, only to realize that we had accidentally grabbed several of the right size rivets but of the ‘countersunk’ variety. Funny what a single letter in a rivet number can do…

Since they were in a location that was a bit awkward and we weren’t familiar with the subtle head shape differences, neither Rob nor Sue noticed until an astute well-wisher asked why we had used flush rivets there. Doh! Time to order replacement rivets (for where those flush ones really will be needed later) and drill these out.

Fixing our oops took a bit over an hour. Ready to start the skin.
