Oooh, this is starting to get interesting. Nice shallow learning curve but the stakes are getting higher…
9 hours spent on this as of 3/16/2019, with just a bit more work remaining. Good timing since it’s almost gliding season and we’ll get even busier.
Finished up on 3/31/2019 after a few more hours and a LOT more rivets. We’ve filled our second jar of rivet stems and are happier than ever that we bought that pneumatic riveter!

Aren’t those tiny little ribs cute?

Bending the curve was kind of fun. PVC was nice to work with in most ways but was a bit too flexible. A wooden dowel or something else inside the PVC might help but we managed to do well enough without, by just keeping pressure on the middle while curling up.

Marking parts with blue tape and marker to remind us which way was up, which way to bend, what size rivets to use… HUGE help.

Is that safety wiring on the hinge good?
