Fun, fun, fun

Unpacking was fun, but the enormity of the project definitely hit me during the process. Just getting it off the truck was a big deal – certainly the first time I ever had to “borrow a forklift” for something I’d purchased!

The quality and robustness of the parts was impressive, though I resisted the urge to unwrap every item… Trying to find safe places for everything without losing track was a challenge unto itself.

It helps to have a few extra hands… and a LOT of space!

It’s now 3/23, 3 weeks from delivery, and work on the left wing has begun. Rob and I have been busy teaching ground schools and doing other various projects, so not even spending full weekends on it yet, but the rapid progress is encouraging. The worldwide coronavirus pandemic has just this past week gone from ‘concern’ to mandated draconian isolation policies around here, so we’re practicing ‘safe building’ and staying 6 feet apart during all construction activities!
